Catholic Schools strive unceasingly to stay on the leading edge of technology in the classroom from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade.
A wide array of technological tools, such as Tablet PCs, wireless laptops, projectors, interactive white boards, scientific probe ware, and broadcasting equipment, are in use in the majority of Catholic schools.
Each school has a five year technology plan that augments the Archdiocesan state approved plan, and participates yearly in the state technology survey. A number of state grants, including the Computer Based Technology Fund, the Education Excellence Fund, and the 8(G) Block and Competitive Programs, support our purchase and use of the technological tools that will enable our youngsters to compete in a global society.
The Archdiocese sponsors many technology workshops each year for our administrators and teachers, and works closely with the Louisiana State Department of Education to encourage total technology integration in each classroom.
