Mr. Gennaro, a long-time educator and leader of several local Catholic schools, passed away on June 30. Funeral services are set for Monday (July 10).

New Orleans Archbishop Gregory M. Aymond and Catholic Schools Superintendent Dr. RaeNell Houston have announced that Father Patrick Wattigny and Ms. Nicole Alvares will assume leadership positions at Pope John Paul II for the 2017-2018 school year.

New Orleans Archbishop Gregory Aymond announced RaeNell Billiot Houston, Ph.D. would be the next Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Dr. Houston has served as Associate Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the archdiocese since 2012.
